How OD Can Support Global Workforces

Registration is closed for this event

These days you cannot toss a stone without hitting a company that has multiple offices, a remote staff and/or an offshore support team. We are living and working in a time when we have to consider the global implications of decisions made about projects and resources.  But perhaps most importantly, we have to consider the implications for our workforce. Now is the time to focus our attention on the implication these decisions have on people within the organizations.

How do HR, OD and leadership evolve as organizations determine their near shore/offshore and inshore strategies? This event will cover different perspectives and strategies for working in or consulting to global companies. Included are techniques to successfully work together across cultures, miles, and time zones.

Join ODNNY on Monday March 11, 2013 as we welcome three dynamic speakers to discuss working globally and the financial, technological and cultural impacts it can have on organizations.

Yael Zofi is an international speaker, author, cross-cultural coach and virtual team expert who will enlighten us on her research and the reality of establishing and sustaining successful virtual teams across geographic and cultural boundaries.

Kerri Arman-Steinmann will share her experiences having specialized in global talent acquisition and having lived and worked in diverse environments, including North America, Europe, Asia and the Pacific Islands.

Rena DeLevie has deep experience in managing offshore teams and bridging cultural differences between them and the US-based teams they collaborate with.

Elaine Mason is on the board of the ODNNY and serves as the Treasurer. She is also VP of Organization Effectiveness for American Express.
